You will join the dedicated R&D teams in the Cambridge office that create and improve the products behind the company’s rapid growth. Our software engineers work on a wide variety of projects and with a diverse toolset. As an engineer within the DevOps team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving development workflows to promote good security practices in the development lifecycle. This is a technical role with an expectation of familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work at least 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.

Responsibilities:
- Work with teams to establish and implement SDLC controls;
- Utilise existing development tooling to identify baseline security requirements and security controls for implementation;
- Utilise metrics associated with tooling to measure the effectiveness of security controls in support of business objectives;
- Support engineering teams and projects with outcomes of security assessments and tooling (e.g., code review, system acceptance testing)
- Feedback to product and engineering teams to prioritise and implement outcomes based on necessity and impact;
- Promote the operation of secure coding to the wider workforce;
- Mature the development processes in line with a pro-security business culture;
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working in DevOps or a production environment;
- Experience writing scripts or applications, ideally in Python;
- Analytical skills to solve problems and support the devops teams;
- Staying up to date on the latest secure development frameworks and latest security news;
- Ability to explain highly technical findings and risks to individuals with a technical and non-technical background;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Professional technical writing skills;
