What you’ll be doing

As a Growth Marketing Manager at Darkhorse, you will be diving into the challenge of fortifying our brand's presence and accelerating our lead generation efforts for both our bespoke data visualization consultancy and disruptive emergency service Saas solution. 

You will be part of a growing Darkhorse team and the first dedicated marketing member. A critical part of your role will be defining what activities add the most value to Darkhorse Analytics and Darkhorse Emergency to grow our marketing capabilities. That said, the likely key responsibilities include:

We are looking for a data-driven marketer with demonstrated experience in building and executing various aspects of GTM strategy, demand generation, digital marketing and social media - ultimately to drive awareness with our audiences and engage and convert them into customers. You will be a dynamic, self-starter and team player who can see the vision but also get things done. This role is responsible for driving our overall marketing strategy and execution.

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing strategies that focus on lead generation and awareness. Build reporting that validates and measures ROI on all marketing activities.
  • Growth: Work with the GTM team to build and accelerate pipeline and new ARR/revenue goals via marketing activities. Boost our brand via social media and conference events. Expand demand generation by managing and executing paid and digital channels, including affiliate, social, search, email, SMS, etc. Guide web/SEO strategies and plans to help create a more globally recognized brand.
  • Creating Content: Craft engaging and inspiring content that reflects our premium brands. Collaborate with SMEs to develop a strategic audience and message.
  • Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our visualization and emergency service teams. Collaborate with our visual designers and developers to create something unique. It's all about syncing our marketing with the amazing work we do.
  • Stay Updated: The world of technology marketing doesn't stand still. Keep us informed and agile with the latest trends and tactics.

You will have proven experience (4+ years minimum) in direct growth marketing or adjacent experience driving demand generation. This includes (1) creating, testing, validating and scaling new marketing campaigns to improve ROI and drive ARR, (2) managing a marketing budget, and (3) strong writing and communicating.

  • Marketing Savvy: Prior experience in B2B, B2G, SaaS, or tech marketing is a boon, along with a proven track record of bringing in leads or building a brand
  • Communication Excellence: Skill in crafting clear, engaging, and persuasive messages across various mediums.
  • Analytical Mindset: A knack for deriving actionable insights from data and an ability to adapt strategies based on these insights.

Applicants must be currently eligible for work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or hold a current and valid authorization (i.e. work permit) to engage in employment). Preference will be given to Edmonton-based candidates.
