The successful candidate will be leading projects and processes related to modeling of human disorders that rely on interactions between nervous system and non-neuronal cells, primarily in the context of oncology and inflammation. The candidate will be responsible for the direction and execution of projects, including novel assay development, in vitro proof-of concept, designing in vivo translational studies, and aligning the scientific plan with corporate objectives. This position will require creativity, resourcefulness, adaptability, and the ability to work across line functions and disease areas with high degree of collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design experimental plans for pathway validation and target identification, including in vitro and in vivo assay development in collaboration with line function teams.
  • Execute experiments, interpret and validate results, and communicate data to scientific team and executive management.
  • Manage external research relationships with academic and commercial partners.
  • The candidate must be independent, goal oriented, and able to efficiently lead a cross functional team and complete multiple projects in parallel.
