Position Summary 
Initiate and oversee the business licensing and permitting process for a pharmacy that serves 50 states.

Essential Job Functions 
--Research federal, state, and municipal regulations for licensing and permit information. 
--Coordinate with internal departments to obtain current information for licensure submittals. 
--Prepare applications and disclosure submissions; coordinate and drive submissions for regulatory licenses. 
--Work closely with federal, state, and municipal regulatory agencies to expedite licensing processes. 
--As required, obtain state level business licensure (Articles of Incorporation, etc.) to accelerate state licensure submissions. 
--Communicate effectively with state boards of pharmacy, and other institutions, to move submissions forward and obtain licensing status updates for all pharmacy and pharmacist applications. 
--Responsible for tracking and submitting all pharmacist licensure, including initial state licenses and renewals, as well as completion of pharmacist continuing education credits, etc. 
--Prepare all initial applications and renewals of pharmacy and pharmacist licenses in a timely and detail-oriented manner. 
--Support field personnel with issue resolution involving facility licensing and/or pharmacist credentialing. 
--Develop and maintain comprehensive database for licensing and permitting. 
--Assist field personnel with inspection preparation, and response(s) to regulatory inspections. 
--Work with legal counsel to research state laws and professional practice and licensing regulations for pharmacy and telemedicine. 
--Collaborate with business representatives, outside counsel, and regulatory agency personnel.
--Assist with required applications and/or documentation for facility renovations, relocations, & de novo projects. 
--Maintain confidentiality and security of all credentialing files. 
Assist in-house counsel with legal matters as needed.

Requisite Skills and Experience 
--One to five years’ experience in a legal, health care compliance or medical licensing environment. 
--Paralegal Certification preferred along with Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in law, business or related field. 
--Strong computer skills (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional). 
--Superlative organizational skills; attention to detail, multi-tasking, ability to track and maintain large quantities of open items at a given time. 
--Ability to research, understand and apply healthcare licensing rules and regulations. 
--Must possess skills necessary to respond effectively to time-critical, sensitive, and complex business organization transactions. 
--Have demonstrated ability to perform factual and legal research and analysis within contractual documentation 
--Interpersonal communication skills. 
--Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
--Internet research skills. 
--Capacity to problem solve and independently implement solutions. 
--Ability to drive tasks to completion promptly and effectively.
