SUMMARY 

Curative Health Holdings, Inc is searching for a  Director--Practice Administrator responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating staff and operations activities at the designated practice site.  This role will provide quality, cost-effective care for our patients.  The Director- Practice Administrator will work closely with Physician and Nursing leadership and Operation teams to ensure that all financial, clinical and quality goals along with patient satisfaction are achieved.

This role is key in developing policies and procedures, as well as workflows for the new clinic.  This includes overall operations of the clinic at the central hub site and an all administrative processes and activities to ensure department standards are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of new policies, protocols and procedures, including IT systems. Make recommendations regarding needed changes in organizational systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage operations of assigned clinic site; ensure compliance with standards of clinical care; maintain accountability for quality, safety, service, and operational excellence.
  • Works closely with Operations team, Nurse Manager, Clinic Lead and other clinical staff in a collaborative approach to implement excellence in service, achieve optimal clinical care outcomes, and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Works with the team to maximize clinic capacity and optimize customer service by analyzing and recommending changes in workflow processes or procedures while ensuring patient satisfaction, clinic flow, quality, financial and site productivity.
  • Responsible for the supervision of non-clinical staff including all supervisory functions; hiring, training, job orientation, compensation, evaluations, counseling, discipline/termination and staff/physicians matters.
  • Monitor and maintain clinic and administrative equipment inventories according to budget and departmental needs.
  • Responsible for clinic cleanliness and coordination of repairs and maintenance.
  • Resolves patient concerns and staff issues to ensure quality patient service.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  • Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures for administrative roles within the clinic.
  • Works closely with the appropriate teams to ensure timely processing of billing and deposits

 

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Will manage a team of non-clinical staff.

 

Travel Requirements:

Minimal local travel

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

 

Must have proven experience with practice administration and management.  Additionally:

  • At least three (3) years of customer or patient facing roles
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and able to effectively prioritize duties
  • Flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity and open to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in electronic practice and health record management systems
  • Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations
  • Based in Austin, TX and able to travel regularly to our clinic in downtown Austin (900 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701)

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field with six (6) years of related experience required
    • Work experience may substitute for education requirement
