How you can help make a better world of work
Culture Amp is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to work within our Platform group. This is a high impact role that will be focused on both the technical foundations needed to help our product teams deliver faster, and the user experiences, within the team’s remit of permissions and login.
This role is for those that care about the tech, and love enabling internal teams, but also bring strong customer empathy. To succeed you will need to be technically conversant, but keep your focus firmly on the customer impact and commercial outcomes. You must also be a strategic thinker who can identify and execute on force-multiplying opportunities, and be capable of influencing others to join you on that journey.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
- Working with the team’s product designer and the user research practice to discover and validate the needs of our customers and users, but also the needs of internal product teams
- Working with engineering to understand and assess the technical tradeoffs in a space, so as to find the pragmatic path to the right solution at the right time.
- Owning the roadmap for the team, making prioritization decisions, and creating artefacts that communicate the ‘why’ behind investment decisions and the ‘what’ of solutions
- Collaborating with those across Product Group and around the business to communicate ideas, influence change and bring vision to life
- Aligning with other camps to drive work towards an envisioned future state for Culture Amp’s platform
- Driving adoption of platform services and products within other teams - selling them on the value proposition of platform capabilities
You’ll be working collaboratively with a cross-functional team and be supported with strong technical expertise. Given the remit, you will also need to collaborate with other product managers and technical leads to align on the highest impact opportunities.
What you’ll potentially bring to the table:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in product management (or similar). Experience working in roles relating to platform services, data services, authentication, or authorization is advantageous
- A strong technical background. Commanding credibility with engineers will be key to owning the vision, and driving decisions within the team.
- Interest in Platform PM roles with both external and internal focus: having direct customer impact, but also working through partners, enabling roadmaps of other teams, and driving adoption of Platform capabilities
- Communication and influencing. Engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared understanding and vision.
- Research skills. Systematically collect qualitative and quantitative inputs, draw on sharp analytical skills, intuition and empathy to find non-obvious patterns, and distill it all into actionable insights.
- You are deeply curious and passionate about people and culture. At heart, you're what we call a people geek!
We believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our success. We're committed to fostering a work environment that truly cares for and develops its people, and creates lasting positive impact. In addition to providing a competitive compensation package, some of the key benefits we offer are:
