Grow and develop a team of engineers and technicians
Work with Engineering leadership and Technical Program Managers to focus efforts on today’s highest impact problems
Responsible for the bring-up and operation of an R&D fleet of self-driving vehicles
Scaling processes and systems to optimize fleet uptime
Support evaluation of new hardware (including sensors / compute / electronics) by coordinating introduction of prototype hardware into small fleets of vehicles
Set technical and product vision for the team, helping craft strategy and anticipating challenges related to scale
Serve as an embodiment of our values to help foster a healthy and collaborative culture
Management experience with teams focused on delivering high-quality output through rapid iteration
3-5 years experience as an engineer working on complex integration projects (sensing, electromechanical, etc.)
Experience launching hardware projects to market
Familiarity working in an R&D environment
Experience with Linux-based systems
Experience with ROS/C/C++/Python
Experience with the automotive industry
Experience with self-driving vehicle hardware
Solve difficult problems that have immediate and valuable real-world applications
