As a Ground Truth Operations Associate, you’ll play an important part in bringing self-driving cars to the world. Our team works with specialized web-based tools to enhance the AV’s Machine Learning Software. In this role, you will primarily collect objects so the AV learns to interact with its surroundings in novel traffic situations. As a member of our team, you will participate in existing and new projects, create new processes, and own an area of expertise in this incredibly competitive and dynamic market.
You should have strong attention to detail, good knowledge of how to use a computer, and good understanding of driving laws and behavior. Professionalism and sound judgment are required at all times, as well as the ability to work in a team setting. You'll be expected to keep certain project details confidential.
This is a W-2 position through our third party staffing provider. You will be an employee of the staffing provider and have access to health benefits, 401k, and more. Pay starts at $20/hr and is for business hours Monday through Friday (40hrs per week).
Work with several engineering departments at Cruise and be able to clearly articulate project progress, roadblocks, and projected timelines.
Help prioritize projects based on urgency, human resources, and existence of any roadblocks.
Discover and clearly communicate process improvements.
Document process workflows for new projects and keep existing project documentation up to date.
Must be able to ask relevant questions in order to improve process.
Willing to take on/learn new things and be able pick them up quickly.
Solutions-oriented problem solver. Must be able to come up with solutions, instead of just asking for answers.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Comfortable and experienced with technology.
Must be able to work at our San Francisco office during business hours Monday through Friday.
