Our self-driving cars change fundamental assumptions about how transportation network operators should allocate fleet resources. We need your help predicting how the effects of those changes flow through to demand response, revenue forecasting, and capital allocation strategy. In this role, you will integrate data from a fleet of self-driving cars with external data streams to
Formulate and identify predictive models of transportation network demand
Design experiments for A/B testing strategic options
Identify additional data collection strategies with high benefit-to-cost
Forward predictive modeling of rideshare demand
Optimization of non-revenue fleet deployment policies
Specification of fleet-level simulation tools to inform strategy
Implementation experience with transportation logistics models
Strong practical command of Python
PhD (or 5+ years experience) in Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics or a similar quantitative field
Exposure to at-scale computing tools such as Hadoop or Spark
Excellent communication skills
Practical command of C++ or Java
Prior experience in rideshare demand forecasting
Solve difficult problems that have immediate and valuable real-world applications
