We're looking for experienced Technical Program Managers to coordinate and help manage the hardware, bring-up and calibration aspects of our autonomous vehicles, integrating advanced sensor technology, extraordinary compute power, network connectivity, user interfaces within vehicles - everything that makes our autonomous vehicles reliable and cost-effective. Several intermediate and senior positions are available in our fast-growing team.
Work with and build relationships internally and with GM, 3rd parties and external manufacturers
Help manage and drive complex, fast-evolving hardware components during early development, both in-house and by third-party vendor partners
Ensure all autonomous vehicle hardware and fittings are real-world-ready - shock, vibration, weather, EMI, etc - find solutions for early internal development and for long-term manufacturing
Work closely with GM line manufacturing to integrate, calibrate & test our advanced autonomous vehicles’ components early and efficiently
Develop & refine processes, tools and procedures for calibration of multiple sensors (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic), both at the factory and in field maintenance
Develop project roadmaps and delivery plans that align with internal customer needs and major company milestones
Track and report on project progress, proactively drive corrective action as needed
Manage day to day operational aspects of multiple projects
Keep cross-functional teams informed and aligned on team progress & needs
Create and organize all relevant documentation
BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering or related field
6+ years of industry experience in fast-paced tech company
Ability to understand complex technical systems
Ability to adapt and operate under ambiguity
Strong technical and nontechnical communication skills
Ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Ability to lead and motivate a team without acting as a direct authority figure
Able to confidently bring order and organization to any team
Experience with large-scale assembly line processes
Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, or complex electromechanical systems
Be supported by an experienced, empowered and trusted Program Management team
