About Technical Product Operations:

The Technical Product Operations team applies human intelligence to some of the toughest problems at Cruise. We work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, and Business to create and iterate on products that move our business forward. 

We have a large, globally distributed workforce and are integral to the development of Cruise’s technology. Our products include annotated dataset for machine learning, high-definition maps to guide our cars as they navigate the world, and structured reviews of critical events & simulations to understand the performance of the AV.

We are looking for a Product Operations Manager, Measurement and Performance to help us to structure & scale the technical reviews that give us insight into the AV’s performance and associated failure modes & regressions. This role will partner with Engineering & Product to understand the required data outputs and lead a large, distributed workforce to deliver high quality, timely data at scale.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop & maintain an understanding of technical details across our AV software and Simulation environments to effectively collaborate with Product & Engineering partners
  • Own management and oversight of a large, distributed workforce, ensuring high quality data at scale to inform prioritization of engineering roadmaps
  • Manage core metrics - develop, track, and find levers to move metrics and drive impact and deliver on key objectives & critical initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes through data driven insights, working with Engineering & Product partners to scope and prioritize solutions
  • Maintain the source of truth policies, feature documentation, and training programs used to train and lead a distributed workforce.
  • Clearly communicate expectations & progress on project goals and current status.

What you must have:

  • 2-4 years in product operations, operations management, or equivalent consultant experience.
  • Experience in data analysis, including strengths in Excel/Sheets, proficiency with SQL or an ability to learn, and comfort with popular data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, DataStudio, etc.)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with experience delivering multiple projects of varying lengths, on time while meeting quality standards
  • Experience with process improvements, combining quantitative & qualitative feedback to drive decisions
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate optimally across cross-functional teams and with working with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to remain flexible and thrive in ambiguity.
