The Creative Operations Manager will be a critical role as we evolve and expand our creative output, which includes everything from daily social media content to national brand campaigns. The role will sit at the center of our growing in-house creative team, reporting to the Head of Creative & Content, and will bridge multiple internal partner groups, as well as our extended network of agencies, vendors, and freelancers. You will be very hands-on, both as a creative resource manager and a creative project manager, with the ability to build a team over time. It’s a role that requires a deep understanding of integrated creative development, as well as a deep sense of team spirit with a willingness to roll the sleeves up and help the work get done.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day creative team operations
  • Managing both internal and external creative resources
  • Creating a simple intake process across marketing, communications, engineering, and other internal departments at Cruise
  • Evaluating projects and initiatives in order to build accurate scopes of work
  • Working with key partners and project leads to evaluate, pressure test, and track budgets
  • Working with internal stakeholders and vendors to streamline multiple project roadmaps
  • Creating clear project plans and timelines
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, while ensuring team health and wellness (including your own)
  • Recommending and implementing appropriate resource and project management tools
  • Provide high level overviews to senior management

What you must have:

  • 10 years of project management and creative operations experience
  • Integrated agency experience, including advertising, communications, and digital marketing
  • Experience staffing and managing projects across the full spectrum of creative production
  • Experience building and growing creative teams and capabilities within a young organization
  • Knowledge of creative and project management resourcing tools - use of, as well as implementation
  • Fluent in cross-functional communication between marketing, communications, engineering, product design, and other internal organizations
  • A collaborative, selfless, hands-on approach, and an ego that lends itself to great work rather than individual accolades
