The IT Client Platform Engineering team supports the platforms used day in and day out by Cruisers. We maximize the strengths of macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, ChromeOS, iOS and Android to Cruises advantage and strive to provide a consistent experience for users across all platforms. From the laptops and desktops that enable developers to the tablets and phones that empower operations our team’s impact is far reaching.

We are looking for a hardworking Engineering Manager to lead this team’s roadmap, deliver an outstanding experience for our users, and support the growth and development of the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and grow a team of 4+ IT Engineers
  • Work with your team, Technical Project Managers and external partners to build, prioritize and execute against our IT Engineering roadmap.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to understand the challenges they face, and how you can maximize their efficiency through the platforms and tools they rely on CPE for.
  • Support Security initiatives while advocating for the end user experience, Cruise aligns with ZeroTrust and CPE plays a pivotal role in the program’s success.
  • Empowering our IT Operations team with the knowledge and tooling to support Cruisers wherever they are located.
  • Defining metrics to measure your impact and reporting on your teams success!

What you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in an Enterprise IT Engineering team
  • You have experience leading and growing teams with diverse skill sets.
  • You can assess the short and long term impact of decisions and know how to balance immediate outcomes against long term goals.
  • You know your limits, when to consult and when to delegate.
  • You emphasize a psychologically safe environment to empower your team to thrive and do their best work.
  • You are well versed in technical principles such as configuration as code, zero touch deployment and chain of trust.
  • You are willing to do uncomfortable things such as delivering feedback and #stayfocused by saying no when appropriate
  • You care deeply about the UX!
