About the role:

Cruise is looking for a PLM Specialist to execute and drive our PLM system and processes. This is a critical role within our growing manufacturing team and will interact with teams including Program Management, Hardware Development, and R&D Test. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Help facilitate the setup, configuration, and deployment of the PLM system
  • Manage all components and materials within the PLM
  • Drive input, revision, and release of all BOMs
  • Setup, configure, and manage the change control process within PLM
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all release packages
  • Work with both material suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure accuracy and alignment on all deliverables
  • Manage documentation control including revisions and release

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or science, or equivalent experience 
  • 2+ years experience in PLM, Documentation and/or material control
  • Experience setting up and managing change control
  • Experience in a production hardware environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Material management and control
  • Experience working with multiple 3rd party vendors

Bonus points!

  • Experience with Arena or Siemens Teamcenter
  • Experience implementing a PLM from scratch 
  • Experience in a regulated environment like medical devices
  • Experience with ISO26262 and other automotive standards
