Responsibilities:

  • Complete PCB design including layout, routing, and gerber generation
  • Build and management of symbols and footprints as well as schematic/PCB templates
  • Management of turnkey contract manufacturers for prototype PCB builds
  • Creation of fabrication and assembly drawings for PCB fabrication
  • Collaboration with mechanical and hardware engineering teams to define electromechanical requirements
  • Perform placement and routing analysis studies
  • Set up and maintain design rule checks
  • Power distribution network design in PCBAs

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of PCB layout design experience
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer, Library, Impedance, Gerber, DFx Tools
  • >12 layer PCB designs
  • High speed digital busses (DDR4, PCIe, MIPI-CSI, 10gbE)
  • Controlled impedance, length matching, differential signals
  • HDI design (blind/buried vias, laser and micro vias, <3mil trace/space)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Previous experience with FPGA designs
