What’s the role? 

The Cloud Operations Technical Lead will support all aspects of Crownpeak’s production cloud-based infrastructure, including application support, maintenance and deployment, and the ability to make informed decisions based on analysis and data.  

We are looking for someone who can quickly learn and understand cloud-based application architecture, has a passion for troubleshooting and solving problems and can communicate effectively between technical teams. 

What will you do? 

  • Support production applications and infrastructure on Amazon Web Services 
  • Learn and understand application architecture and make recommendations to improve or enhance existing methods 
  • Respond to service outages and issues in a timely fashion  
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to fix operational or repetitive issues with production software  
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to deploy software  
  • Maintain and update documentation for working processes

Here are a few skills that we feel would make you successful in the role, but we’d still love to hear from you if you feel you’d be a great fit. 

  • Proficient in Amazon Web Services (EC2, CloudFront, and R53) 
  • Experience in Cloud Operations and Ubuntu Linux-based system administration 
  • Skilled in Windows IIS management and troubleshooting, capable of diagnosing and resolving IIS issues, such as HTTP errors, application pool crashes or configuration problems. 
  • Experience working with monitoring tools, frameworks, and processes (e.g., Nagios, Icinga, Prometheus, CloudWatch) 
  • Team player attitude and strong problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins, along with Git and GitHub. 
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)  
  • Previous exposure to containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, EKS) 

It would also be a plus if you had:  

  • A familiarization of agile process methodologies  
  • Exposure working in a DevOps culture  
  • Some comprehension on ISO 27001 or comparable audits
