YOUR ROLE 

As a leader on the One Marketplace team, the Group Director is responsible for driving innovation by leveraging a deep expertise in paid social media strategies and a comprehensive understanding for how all media channels operate.

We are seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in developing and executing paid social media strategies that drive business growth. An individual who is highly skilled in leading and mentoring teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement

Above all, the Group Director should be dedicated to challenging the status quo, pushing client strategies forward, and driving performance and satisfaction through innovative paid social media solutions.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Client Leadership, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Team Leadership and Development, Thought Leadership

  • Fostering strong client relationships through consistent communication and trust-building, and delivering innovative, data-driven campaigns that align with client objectives and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Media Planning, Data Analytics, and other buying channels (e.g. SEM, Programmatic, Digital Partnerships) to align Paid Social initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Effective team leadership and sets a standard for how to work with internal stakeholders and problem-solve when presented with challenges. 
  • Work with client service leadership to develop accurate scopes of work for clients
  • Lead a team of Paid Social professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and career development.
    • Ensure all team members maintain active certifications on major platforms
  • Actively participate in new business opportunities and agency thought leadership
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
    • Identify and capitalize on alpha and beta opportunities
    • Brainstorming on strategic requirements for technology solutions and custom data visualization
    • Actively participate in and solicit case studies
    • Help develop and deploy scripts and AI in day-to-day management
    • Co-lead monthly channel connects with the paid social team
  • Represents Crossmedia as an industry-leading thought leader with internal teams and clients
  • Contributes to our culture; possess a self-start mind-set and capable of decision-making with positive and accountable outcomes.
  • Builds esprit de corps through strong team communication Is fully committed to staff training of current team, participates in formal training (e.g., XMU, Mindful Managers Training) and serves as a mentor

REQUIREMENTS

  • 12 + years of relevant work experience in paid social media and biddable media. Ideal experience is in a media ad agency setting.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing a team of specialist for junior to senior team members
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment,
  • Strategic Thinker & Doer

Salary range $150k - $190k.  Commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.
