Our Software Engineers, Architects & Leadership work with the most progressive technologies in the business. We utilize JavaScript, and TypeScript built on Node.js along with React to build our applications. We leverage AWS Managed Services and PaaS abstractions like Alexa,Cognito, Lambda, and ECS backed by polyglot persistence including relational databases, key-value stores, Graph in Neptune, and persistent message streams. Our applications run on cloud-native services like Docker Containers in Fargate, Functions on Lambda, and Aurora DB. We know what big data really is and bring it to bear across Machine Learning technologies, NLP, data automation as well as BI & data insights. 

What You Will Need to Succeed:
The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing one or multiple development & engineering teams, including directing, coordinating, and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership, and completion of Sprints & software projects. Engaging in one-on-one career development, mentoring & performance conversations with your staff on a regular cadence. Ensuring that key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled. You will be responsible for engaging in and leading technical conversations within and across development teams, training new employees and working with various other departments. You will also prepare reports for executive dashboards, KPI rollups, and daily, weekly, or monthly project & initiative progress reporting.

Understanding the areas of technical debt within your teams and managing both the assessment and addressing while managing up to communicate these areas, current constraints, and the tradeoffs necessary to deliver the highest quality possible within the roadmap goals of your teams. You lead successful teams by earning their trust and that of your peers. Thoughtfully building credibility both within your teams and also across the entire organization.

  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for Engineering & Development groups.
  • Analyze technology, resources and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Develops evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations.
  • Reviews department objectives for adequacy and consistency with corporate objectives.
  • Reporting of departmental metrics.
  • Follow-up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality & delivery.
  • Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with our principals & cultural norms.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.



  • 5 years working hands-on in Agile software development highly preferred, ideally the Scrum or Kanban style Agile development model.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience, with technical leadership skills for problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles as well as understanding computational & scientific methods of problem 
  • Excellent program and project management skills with strong document management.
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal skills.
  • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner.
