POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a creative Visual Designer to join our Korea Marketing team.

As an extension of the global creative team, the Crocs creative team in Asia strives to produce creative work that is globally inspired, yet locally-nuanced. We play a crucial role in the development of overall creative concepting, layout, and production for both consumer facing and internal corporate brand initiatives. As such, the designer will play an essential part in producing marketing materials across various marketing channels, with a focus on Social Media platforms.

This position will report directly to the Head of Creative – Asia, based in Singapore with a dotted line to the Marketing Manager in Korea. The ideal candidate would have a high interest in popular culture and social media trends, with a passion for content creation on all major social networks.

The ideal candidate will also collaborate closely with local and regional marketing teams to proactively and consistently produce best-in-class creative work. This involves a mix of both adaptation and localisation of global brand assets, as well as origination of locally-nuanced, digitally-focussed creative ideas for the Korean market.

You will be accustomed to working with brand guidelines and comfortable cascading this knowledge to others. Experience working with and directing the creative output from agencies and production partners is essential along with the ability to direct photographers, directors, illustrators and content creators as and when needed.

Whilst this is a creative role, strong project management and organisation is required to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team. Ultimately, the ideal candidate will act as a brand custodian, ensuring our ‘Come As You Are’ brand expression is reflected in all creative work produced.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Concepts and Ideation

Responsible for taking briefs from concept to layout to production. Brainstorm and develop concepts for various projects, campaigns, or initiatives that align with Crocs brand values and objectives.

Visual Communication

Work with team on artistic direction of all creative output through type, imagery, and layout. Build innovative visual design across customer touchpoints from concept to production that accurately reflect brand positioning.

Brand Custodianship

Maintain, support, and elevate brand standards by ensuring that marketing materials are consistent with brand standards and systems while continuing to push the boundaries.

Content Creation

You will work closely with our Social Media Specialist to review content planning and the content calendar to ensure it hits our brand voice across all social assets. This will include creating locally-nuanced and globally-inspired multimedia content such as videos, animations, interactive presentations, and other digital assets for online/social platforms and digital marketing campaigns.

Campaign development

Partnering with our Integrated Marketing Specialist you will execute, leverage and optimize 360 marketing activation. Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketing, and various cross-functional teams as needed. You will also have the skills to present and communicate creative ideas and designs based on a brief and needs of multiple stakeholders.

Agency/Vendor Creative Supervision

You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as sales team, VM team, accounts, PR/Social/Creative agencies on artwork development to support marketing and integration across wholesale, retail and VM. Direct vendors in development of concepts for various projects, campaigns, or initiatives making sure they align with Crocs brand values, objectives and standards. When necessary, provide guidance on adaption of digital marketing assets across digital platforms.

Adaptation

Transform existing creative concepts into dynamic design and storytelling assets across all media — ranging from Social/digital to print, retail, VM and experiential.

Project Management

In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the designer should also have strong project management skills, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of projects from conception to execution. Supervision of local asset management and the creation of reusable libraries is necessary, ensuring final files are delivered and/or uploaded to the appropriate vendor, partner and/or application. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have demonstrated leadership qualities working in a complex corporate structure and have an ability to communicate with and influence across departmental boundaries to affect positive change. This individual will have the following knowledge, skills and personal characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of previous design experience
  • Good written and spoken in English, and Native level in Korean
  • An impressive portfolio of creative work, demonstrating conceptual ability and your expertise at execution
  • Team player, a willing communicator and collaborator able to build effective relationships with global and country cross-functional teams
  • Have a finger on the pulse regarding popular culture, and how this impacts social trends, influencers, memes, viral content, product placements, and experiential events
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • High proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD
  • Takes initiative, is comfortable being assertive and is self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to quickly switch gears in order to keep up with feedback and shifting priorities is critical in order to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Must maintain a professional and enthusiastic demeanor with internal and external partners, approaching every job with a spirit of optimism, innovation and imagination
  • Flexibility and ability to accept and apply necessary critique and feedback

 

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with digital web optimization, HTML5, Google Web Designer, or similar
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Animate, or AfterEffects
  • An interest in generative A.I and it’s role in the creative process
  • Other relevant system qualifications/certifications are a plus
  • Work experience at international company is an advantage
  • Overseas education is an advantage
