Job Summary

The DTC Demand Planner is responsible for delivering accurate pre-season and in-season demand forecasts as well as maintain healthy channel inventory for specific market(s). Through effective planning and OTB management, this role helps to achieve given financial targets through close collaboration with Sales, Merchant, Allocation, Finance and Marketing departments.

Job Description

  • Own monthly Demand review and relevant S&OP sections to ensure all stakeholders are aligned to the plan and risks & opportunities are escalated
  • Create monthly style/color/size level sales and operating forecast based on the pre-season plan and the latest market trend - in alignment with Sales, Finance & Merchant
  • Forecast core carryover products using statistical models and global core planning resources
  • Track actual sales and forecast accuracy, and call out if any gaps to latest forecast based on any supply delays
  • Work with merchandising and allocation to ensure product launch dates can be met
  • Ensure a high In-stock Rate at country level and work closely with Allocation/Sales to ensure no broken sizes at store/market level
  • Develop channel inventory strategy per product category aligned with Open-to-Buy budget
  • Monitor Open-to-Buy, Months of Supply and Excess Inventory, and proactively identify risks and opportunities to optimize working capital
  • Present cross- channel / country excess inventory opportunities to transfer in or out the channel
  • Support Merchant with the Merch Financial Plan and pre-season product forecast
  • Drive process improvement projects to standardize and optimize the pre-season and in-season planning process using new software modules
  • Conduct quantitative analysis based on past season demand and supply issues, and provide insights to optimize future planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

Other Job Requirements

  • More than 3 years in Demand Planning
  • FMCG industry, preferably in apparel / fashion with DTC business model
  • Understanding of various demand planning, inventory and OTB modeling
  • Strong quantitative analysis skill set
  • Proficiency with Planning Software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel. Power Point, Word) with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in country and regional teams
  • Comfortable with large data sets with clear eye for the detail
  • Ability to format data in clear and understandable presentations
  • Limited / domestic Travel may required
