We are looking for a Manager Distribution Operations for our European Distribution Centre in Dordrecht!

The Manager, Operations, is responsible for optimizing the (automated) flow of product through our DC, driving a culture of continuous improvement by developing the DC Operations team and through application of best practice standards in all shifts.  Also, a proactive approach to planning & forecasting, facilities management, safety and maintenance is necessary to maintain high service ‘uptime’, supporting the supply chain in reaching financial & service goals. 

What will you do?

Engineering Leadership:

  • Proactively manages major DC throughput and mix capabilities ‘in line’ with business needs over the seasonal and strategic time horizons
  • Partners effectively with and develops DC Ops team members to apply appropriate best practices standards across all shifts
  • Maintains continuous evaluation of Crocs DC fulfillment center processes, layout, and design; ensuring that they are configured to provide competitive service levels and unit costs (CPP: Costs Per Pair) for Crocs Omni-Channel business.
  • Manages system capacity demand, identifying constraints and waste, and propose effective solutions
  • Contribute to the DC assessment process to ensure consistent levels of performance across all Crocs warehousing operations
  • Drive culture of change and has demonstrable experience in working in an automated logistics environment


  • Leads Kaizen events to improve work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace
  • Leads projects to improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE), including workforce productivity, equipment utilization, yield and cycle time improvements, automation etc.
  • Drive and champion Distribution Center best practices in; operations, the application of systems and the specification and utilization of material handling equipment


  • Develops financial planning and cost analysis including the development of strategic roadmaps for future operations growth
  • Contributes to the maintenance of Activity Based Costing methodologies to determine ‘cost to serve’

Facility Maintenance/ Operations:

  • Proactive approach towards property & facilities maintenance and operations at the DC including technology, security, crisis management, construction management, waste management and energy management

Project Management:

  • As required, provide direct project management on specific initiatives, and sponsor projects in the Distribution space with the operational teams

Drive Culture of Safety:

  • Oversee building safety program including committees, incident management review and training

Who are you?

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor/Master  degree or higher in Supply Chain or a related logistics field is required, plus 10 or more years of related experience

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a related Supply chain role

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience financial analysis concepts and methods
  • Expertise in TQM methods such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Project management experience.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team player
  • Ability to drive a collaborative team environment to achieve solutions that are best for the company
  • Located an hour maximum from the DC and owns their car
