Role Mission:

·        Driving the merchandising vision throughout the Korea Territory for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand specializing in comfortable, fun, innovative and irreverent product lines designed to surprise and delight our millions of loyal Crocs fans and future Crocs fans.

·        Driving the go-to-market strategy, which includes the global merchandising vision, strategy and assortment plan for all product and drives it to achieve brand and revenue goals, sales growth and profit maximization through a consumer-centric focus with alignment to the global brand.


Key Process Accountabilities

Key Activities

1.      Merchandising Strategy Management


-         Oversee and align all merchandising functions as part of the seasonal go-to-market strategy (product launch to disposition): innovative and compelling product collections and stories, new product offerings, directed assortment, product flow, brand integrity, consumer insights/voice of the consumer, lifecycle management, drives understanding and analysis of in season and post season performance, pricing, collection planning, partner retail assortment management, SMU's and forecasting for all channels.

QC and management for all the country’s assortment  from the past to current lines , Including the KC management, making sure all the country’s assortment is met with the country’s quality standard.

2.      Channel management

-         Collaborate with the DTC and commercial teams on promotional cadence and have overall responsibility for product margin on product mix and distribution.


3.      Financial Management

-         Work cross functionally with regional and country functions, including merchandising, GM’s, product, marketing, supply chain, finance, retail and sales to ensure product assortments meet sales, market, trend and margin requirements as directed by senior leadership resulting in profitable growth while holding brand integrity.


Deliverables and Indicators (KPIs)

·        Drive development and achievement of the seasonal merchandising plan that aligns with the financial plans

·        Drives the GTM process and is responsible end-to-end from seasonal kick off through product disposition.

·        Drive product margin goals and achievement to plan.

·        Responsible for sales forecasting activities together with the Merchandising Planning organization.

·        Responsible for product pricing, benchmarked to competitors and target consumer, to meet financial targets.

·        Accountable for inventory targets with a shared responsibility for process execution by Supply Chain and Channel Leadership - Inventory responsibility includes what merchandise is purchased, how it flows, and where it is sold to maximize product margin and market development.



Job Requirements:


·        Degree in Merchandising / Business Management / Retail Management or equivalent.


·        Minimum 12~15 years of progressive experience in merchandising, product creation and/or retail; footwear experience preferred.


·        Strong knowledge of Korea retail footwear landscape and consumer insights.

·        Knowledge of international (& domestic) fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts.

·        Proven track record of being able to successfully develop and execute a merchandising strategy.

·        Knowledge of international (& domestic) fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts.

Interpersonal Skill

·        Proven leadership and people management skills.

·        Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment.

Travel Requirement

·        Ability to travel as required.
