POSITION OVERVIEW

Crocs is hiring a Specialist/Assistant Manager of Japan Brand Communications, a critical role on our highly innovative, highly collaborative, high performing JAPAN marketing team. RESPONSITBITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead Japan consumer marketing strategy with high emphasis of social media savviness and enthusiasm around youth culture in fashion, music and art
  • Execute the day to day and campaign initiatives for brand social across platforms to drive follower growth and engagement (Primarily platforms: Instagram and Twitter) 
  • Strategically and efficiently create highly topical trending content to increase brand relevance, foster social conversation and leverage to build vibrant communities
  • Work closely and collaboratively across Crocs Marketing local and regional teams to champion social-first ideas and execute integrated activations, events and strategies
  • Manage social agencies and oversee campaign planning and management, including Paid campaigns
  • Collaborate with social media publishers to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations and partnerships
  • Develop and market relevant goals and performance metrics for owned social platforms; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Continuously ideate and innovate within the social space
  • Play as a single point of contact for social media marketing optimization, to help support effective execution of all activities around consumer marketing with alignment with Country Marketing lead

BASIC QUALIFICATION

  • 3-5+ years of marketing experience especially in brand communications (ideally at sporting goods/fashion/lifestyle retail brands)
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in digital and social media marketing with holistic point-of-view (rather than vertical expert in one or two areas)
  • Experience generating and executing social media campaigns across platforms with a track record of growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners/talent
  • Excellent Japanese and English communication skills (verbal and written)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience launching and/or directly managing social accounts with global counterpart
  • Track record of driving adoption of new ideas and concepts, driving into executions, while pioneering new approaches within his/her team or company
  • Creative thinker with a passion for developing and delivering big ideas for our customers with an exceptional proactiveness
  • Advanced decision-making skills with proven ability to drive direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
