The Planning Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day routing and waving operations of all orders at within a 500,000+ square foot, multi-shift, high-volume, automated distribution center. The position will analyze past and current waving and routing to develop efficient and cost effective routing solutions.
Primary Job Duties
Responsible for efficient processing of daily routing and waving process with Crocs automated warehouse equipment.
Maintain customer profiles in WMS (Manhattan) and Salesforce.
Verify all new accounts and determine best routing and waving methods to maximize the DC efficiency while meeting customer Routing requirements.
Ensure all routing is DOT compliant.
Develop, implement and monitor management reports that measure the cost effectiveness of the routing and waving processes.
Monitor production plan and resolve scheduling problems through coordination with manufacturing, outside vendors, quality control, and project management.
Track analysis results and provide feedback to leadership on wave effectiveness and expectations. Supervise assigned staff in the performance of their duties including scheduling, training and development. Ensure employees are performing their duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Performs post route analysis and compares Crocs plan to actual, using the results as the basis for coaching sessions with wavers and routers.
Develop initiatives to identify and maximize waving and routing opportunities.
Collaborate with production department managers to discuss production forecasts and changes.
Bachelor’s degree, related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years routing and waving experience
Responsibility with hiring, training and disciplinary actions
Must be detail oriented and comfortable in the “chaos”. We work in a fast paced environment that is constantly changing.
Proficient in MS Office, WMS, Salesforce, various TMS systems.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in an Omni-Channel Distribution environment processing Wholesale, Retail and E-Commerce orders is highly desirable.
Experienced in mentoring and coaching employees on job performance
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Experience in waving and routing as associated with automation including conveyors, shuttle systems and sortation systems
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to think outside the box; demonstrate creativity and innovation; take initiative
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work with all levels of management, and a multitude of departments in the organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and comprehend English
Computer skills to perform computer related tasks such as e-mailing and communication

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills/experience preferred
