Job Summary:

The Planning Analyst is responsible for taking a multi-disciplinary view of supply chain operations. This Analyst will have 3 core functions and responsibilities:

  • Sales support: responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales-related data to the Vice President of Sales with the overarching goal of increasing overall sales productivity. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in the enhancement and improvement of top-line business understanding and decision-making
  • Reporting & other operational responsibilities, supporting the inventory and demand planning teams
  • Process improvement across disciplines

Primary Job Duties:

Sales Support:

  • Collect, evaluate, and interpret sales data via advanced BI reporting dashboards to increase sales productivity & refine operational efficiency
  • Continually work with Sales Team to ensure they understand BI Reporting so that they can better leverage them in their day to day business
  • Generate ad-hoc reporting for Sales, Demand Planning, Marketing, FP&A and others as needed

Reporting & Other Operational Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely availability of relevant reporting (master data, inventory, sales) for the Sales & Planning functions
  • Build, Modify and Schedule reporting in SAP Business Objects
  • Manage and execute various database programs (line list operation, Ship + Open (Wholesale & Latin American businesses, transfers), while also creating ad-hoc BI Reports, databases and processes that directly support the planning cycle
  • Maintain planning parameters in SAP
  • Generate key planning metrics (forecast accuracy, SKU efficiency)
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing inter-channel transfer requests and to maintain record-keeping of all transfer activities
  • Support the demand planners to analyze over/under consumption of demand plans
  • Accountable for timely, accurate execution of systematic changes

Process Improvements:

  • Develop and enhance the reporting suite to better serve the business
  • Work with the Sales, Merchandising and Planning teams to provide training and support related to the deployment of tools and reporting
  • Actively participate in key task forces designed to solve large scale system problems

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant functional area: order management, customer service planning or allocation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must possess a solid understanding of and comfort with business intelligence tools
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and relational database management systems
  • Detail oriented with strength in high-level data analysis
  • Demonstrated creative/resourceful problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced, changing environment
  • “Can-do” mentality with a strong sense of teamwork and accountability
