SUMMARY

The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales in the assigned territory; achieving or exceeding the seasonal sales targets; selling to and managing all accounts and prospects within assigned territory for Crocs. This position is responsible for the long-term development of the accounts, profitable growth for the Crocs brand and the accounts, managing sell-thru of Crocs products, and contributing to increasing market share of clogs and sandals. 

This position will cover Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina. The candidate can reside in any major city within the territory. Frequent travel 50%+, overnights, night and weekend work may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use your extensive knowledge of the customer and product to negotiate the seasonal buy
  • Forecasting the future business of your key accounts for the season on a monthly basis
  • Establish account profiles for key accounts within territory
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry and retailer challenges/opportunities
  • Leverage/understand the Crocs brand, product range, and go-to-market strategy in order to drive success for accounts and Crocs
  • Develop and maintain an expertise regarding the Crocs brand and our products, as well as the competition
  • Exercise problem solving skills, basic retail math and computer skills on a daily basis
  • Deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Increase sales and market share of Crocs in retail accounts
  • Increase presence of Crocs in retail accounts through expanded assortment and best in class merchandising
  • Develop a firm understanding of the market and develop/execute strategies to maximize sales
  • Maintain regular contact with customers and internal stakeholders to facilitate sales growth
  • Deliver excellent customer interactions through great preparation, effort, and attitude
  • Gather and maintain data on sales, shipments, inventory levels, forecasts and current trends and generate corresponding reports
  • Analyze gathered data and make proactive recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Use brand, consumer, and analytical insights to drive growth and sell thru within account base
  • Facilitate order processing beginning with preparation of order and continuing through receipt, processing, shipping, and receiving at the actual store level
  • Facilitate B2B order processing with external customers to help streamline sales process
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to satisfy customer needs
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to prevent and solve problems
  • Assist in new product set-up and item maintenance
  • Ensure all customer program requirements are clearly defined with the customer and internally
  • Consistently completes/communicates all required reports and other tasks on time
  • Apply learnings and best practices from colleagues to key territory objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-5 years sales and account management experience; footwear experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of industry and competitive landscape
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of US retail and wholesale footwear landscape and consumer insights preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to adhere to company and department ethical standards; will make decisions with the best interest of the team, company, and Crocs brand in mind
  • BA or BS degree required
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to carry and lift at least 20 pounds
  • Frequent travel 50%+, overnights, night and weekend work may be required.
