As Senior Strategist you’ll provide important strategic leadership and guidance to a key line of business on one of our largest accounts. You’ll perform planning functions on a range of digital campaign projects informed by an intimate understanding of the client, their competitors and key industry trends. Your most important contribution is insights – about the client’s business, their competitors, and their customers – and will be able to effectively communicate their findings to creative and client teams.

You will:

  • Ensure, through collaboration with team members and partner agencies, that core processes and deliverables are effective in delivering strategic planning 
  • Demonstrate the value of integrating strategy services and activities into all client engagements 
  • Work with our clients to identify business problems and challenges today and in the future
  • Become an authority on the client’s business sector and understand their brand objectives and position
  • Recommend, plan, coordinate and/or execute pertinent research, analysis activities: 
    • Cultural and digital platform trends
    • Sector, industry and competitive analysis
    • Qualitative consumer research (ie. social listening, usability testing, focus groups, field study)
    • Requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews
  • Synthesize and communicate the results of research to clients and project teams through engaging briefs and client presentations
  • Understand the role of data, analytics, and search within the creative process, working closely with internal multi-disciplinary teams like Marketing Science and SEO to develop data-driven insights, measurement frameworks, and reporting
  • Provide thought leadership to colleagues, clients, and partner agencies
  • Be a leader and collaborator on multi-disciplinary teams, giving clear direction and support to creative, data, research, and other discipline members

You have:

  • 5 years of related experience in the following areas: 
    • Digital strategy
    • Content strategy
    • Social strategy
    • Customer experience strategy development
    • Campaign design & planning
  • Experience managing complex stakeholders and driving internal buy-in for projects
  • Experience in developing proposals and presentations for clients 
  • Experience owning development of creative briefs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter in a simple way - verbally or in written form 
  • Demonstrated ability in the marketing research and sciences areas, to establish and analyze complex research studies 
  • Interest in advertising, marketing and technology
  • A curious mind and commitment to learning
