Your role

As part of the in-house Chipper Global Marketing team, the Creative Video Editor will be responsible for creating eye-catching video content for distribution on owned and earned platforms. You will be part of the leadership team and make contributions to the overall marketing direction and strategy.

As a digital native, this role will be critical to the positioning and creative articulation of the Chipper brand, creating content capable of connecting with both new and existing fans across the globe.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Create and edit high-quality video content for social and other various platforms
  • Produce content for teams, partners, and internal departments as required
  • Develop promotional content for local and global use
  • Be able to take on shooting tasks
  • Collaborate effectively with external media production agencies
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Have in-depth knowledge and proven experience with After Effects and Premiere, capable of producing high-quality edits using their motion graphics skills
  • Have the ability to handle camera gear and basic production equipment
  • Have experience with storytelling in a complex digital landscape, the Creative Editor will demonstrate a proven track record in media and be comfortable creating content that connects with fans on both a local and global scale. An understanding of editing for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok is essential
  • Have Strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work under minimum supervision to strict deadlines and to be able to quickly adapt to changing business needs
  • Understand the Chipper product, have a strong knowledge of social media platforms, and content that connects with users globally
  • Attend to offline events and shoots would be required

What You Should Have

  • 3+ years of experience in Video Editing and Motion Design
  • Proficient in using Adobe Suite, especially After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1-3 day turnaround time on finished pieces
  • Experience in finding and collecting relevant archival footage and other material to be incorporated into edits
  • Proactive attitude in problem solving and suggestions, able to implement feedback with ease and in a timely manner
  • Experienced in producing polished, professional video edits and motion graphics work, carried from concept to completion, largely independently
  • Stop-motion, painting, music, and nearly any other creative skill is a plus
  • Proven possibly, award-winning editor and storyteller
  • Exceptionally "Creative" Editor
  • An over communicator and resourceful reporter
  • Have an editor's mindset, constantly cutting for clarity
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes, hyper-growth startup environment
  • Ability to be flexible with project timelines
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic – goes the extra mile without being asked
  • Comfortable enough with ambiguity to push forward, and an instinct iterating and improving on products, messaging, and media
