Role:
As a Data Scientist, you will partner closely with a cross-disciplinary group of staff, including a mix of engineering, product, data, coaching, and clinical staff, to collect, analyze, and share evidence that will inform critical business decisions and organizational storytelling. Through this work, you’ll help to create a culture of evidence-based decision-making that will increase our organization’s impact on our mission of supporting people in crisis.
Responsibilities:
- Own end to end data pipelines, from data collection to presentation of metrics.
- Identify gaps in the product and operational processes, build analytical models to find insights and help drive decisions across the org.
- Develop in-depth analysis to answer strategic business questions.
- Define best practices and new processes to collect and analyze data.
- Communicate and share data in a digestible way with the rest of our organization.
- Establish effective partnerships with key stakeholders including Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and Operation Managers.
- Be responsible for evangelizing a data driven culture across the board.
- Spread knowledge and provide mentorship.
- Consider ethics, equity, security, privacy, and confidentiality, in all work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- +6 years of experience in the Analytics and Data Science space.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Sisense, PowerBI, etc.)
- Experience with machine learning and operations research.
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
- Advanced communication and storytelling experience that influences all organizational levels and drives business decisions.
- Exhibit grit, high integrity, a team mindset, and an affinity for continuous learning.
- Enjoy wrangling real-world complexity into deceivingly simple solutions.
- Thrive in a collaborative, diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NLP techniques to extract insights from text.
- Experience building, scheduling and maintaining data pipelines in Scala or PySpark.
- Ability to write clean and modular code and work with version control tools.
- Ability to create project plans to identify tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
