We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to work for our client in Brussels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define High level requirements
- Define detailed business requirements and functional specification
- Gathering non-functional requirements from other EC departments e.g. security requirements, GDPR requirements
- Analyse data and if necessary, perform data modelling
- Define recommendation based on the outcomes
- Process analysis:
- Define AS-IS
- Detect the bottlenecks
- Propose and Define the To Be
- Modelling based on the best practices (e.g., UML, BPMN, Story Mapping …)
- Guard the backlog
- Define Epics, Features and User Stories
- Act as a Product Owner
- Help to establish an Agile way of working together with our Agile Coach in the organisation
- Help the PM to define the business case and project charter
- Help the PM to Perform the risk analysis and constraints
- Work closely with the DEV team, architects, Scrum Master and PM
Job Requirements:
- Agile knowledge (filling in the backlog, writing user stories)
- At least 5 year(s) of work experience in a similar job
- Being comfortable to deep dive into systems and analyze the details
- Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English (min.C1)
- Can manage the stakeholders easily
- Strong analytical and synthetic knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Solutions oriented mind
- Team player
- Able to quickly assimilate procedures
- Able to work well under pressure
- Fast learner
- Comfortable in international and multicultural working environment
Additional assets:
- Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.
- French knowledge is an asset (At least B-2)
- Experience with European Commission is an asset
- Engineering or computer science background
Nice-to-have:
- Experience process & practices – Kanban, Azure DevOps, Jira is a plus (nice to have)
- Digital knowledge (website and mobile application developments)
- Making wireframes and prototypes
- SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of fishbone diagram
- Knowledge of BPMN
- Conceptual data modeling
Working Conditions:
- Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 07h00 and 20h00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed.
- Type of contract: Consultant (external service provider) intra-muros.
- Office located in Brussels (Hybrid), European neighbourhood
