We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Proximity Network Field Service  specialist   to work for our client in Ispra, Italy

 

Job Description:

· Install, configure, and test network hardware and software components, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

· Set up and configure network cabling, ensuring proper connectivity and performance.

· Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks.

· Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing network-related issues promptly and effectively.

· Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and client interactions.

· Generate detailed reports on network performance, issues resolved, and recommendations for improvements.

· Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of desktop/Laptop, Printer, Mobile device, Copier and LAN and other miscellaneous hardware equipment problems for end users within Service Level Agreement guidelines.

· Ensure all network installations and configurations comply with industry standards and company policies.

· Inform customers on the status of their Incidents/requests and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Requirements: 

· Good spoken and written knowledge of English and Italian (min. B2)

· Excellent knowledge of all round IT (Network, Office, Windows …)

· Excellent expertise of WAN, LAN, and VPN network protocols such as TCP/IP and network diagnostic tools and techniques., configuration.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

· Good expertise on informatics environment (Microsoft OS; internet browsing, Linux an MAC OSX).

 

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. (traineeships counting as experience).

· Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or other Ticketing systems).

 

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Team player with strong communication skills.

· Able to quickly assimilate procedures.

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize the incident and request.

· Punctual, meticulous and reliable.

Desired qualifications:

· Knowledge of/or experience in ITIL environment

· Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar.

· Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus

Working conditions:

· Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 07h00 and 20h00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is needed.
