Copper River Cyber Solutions is seeking an Authentication and Access Control Subject Matter Expert to join our team in support of a new contract at the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Responsiveness. This position will be performed remotely with the occasional need for an onsite meeting in the Washington D.C. area.
The Authentication and Access Control Subject Matter Expert serves as subject matter specialist possessing strong knowledge of authentication and access control. Marries technical knowledge and background with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and activities to non-technical individuals utilizing experience delivering technical documentation, executive presentations, user guides, marketing materials, etc. Works independently or with minimal oversight and supervision. Working with Project Team Leads and Project Managers to produce high quality products.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Investigates security incidents and violations
- Performs periodic security audits
- Responds to access control system alerts
- Performs periodic security audits
- Creates, modifies, and deletes user accounts and privileges
- Train users on authentication and access control systems
- Designs, implements, and maintains authentication and access control systems
- Developing and maintaining security policies and procedures
- Tests programs, processes, and systems to measure the authentication and access control products and services
- Assists with writing basic test procedures and protocols to assess product accessibility and evaluates the ability of products to meet authentication/access control standards and specifications
- Gathers basic test data and evaluates the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meets specifications and performance expectations
- May collaborate with other teams to improve or upgrade features and/or product performance
- Deliver authentication and access control training and seminars as needed for the project
- Maintains current knowledge of authentication and access control and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Clearance:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Education:
- Bachelors degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Master's degree preferred
- Expert understanding of authentication/access control
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Experience specialized in authentication and access control
- Experience providing high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff
- Experience producing quality documentation
- Experience working with Federal government clients
- Preferred Skills:
- Authentication and Access Control knowledge and experience
- Cyber Security knowledge and experience a plus
- Cloud knowledge and experience a plus
- SharePoint knowledge and experience a plus
- Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience a plus
