Copper River Technologies is seeking an CAD Project Manager to join our team. The role will work with the Contract Manager as part of a large Computer Aided Design and Master Record Drawing Repository Support Services contract for a Federal customer.

The ideal candidate has experience creating CAD files and working with GIS data, engineering or construction background, survey experience, engineering tech experience as well as team and contract management.  This role reports to the CRT Director of Programs and is 100% On-site in Arlington, VA, customer location is the Pentagon.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Project Management
    • Work with the Contract Manager to manage team schedules, always ensuring adequate on-site resources.
    • Develop and QC deliverables for distribution to the COR and other Government leads. 
    • Mentor staff when appropriate to improve quality of work or performance.
    • Conduct performance reviews annually and ad hoc as needed.
    • Coordinate with the Contract Manager to execute the contract and ensure the PWS is performed to mee the Performance Requirement Standards.
  • Records Management
    • Support Component Records Management and Records Liaison Officers in identifying, managing, and retrieving records and information in electronic and hard copy formats in accordance with DoDI 5015.2 and AI 15.
    • Conduct record searches, identify temporary and permanent records, and disposition. 
    • Evaluate Component’s Records and Information Management program to ensure compliance.
    • Identify and make recommendations to manage records on component social network sites.
    • Organize electronic records in email, shared drive, and SharePoint in accordance with OSD, DoD instructions, directives, and Regulations. 
    • Complete all mandatory OSD and NARA's (National Archives and Records Administration) and record management trainings.
    • Annually prepare, reproduce, index, package, and transmit hard and/or electronic historical Architectural and Engineering As-Built drawing files, pre-construction drawings, and specification documentation for major construction, renovation, repair, and improvement projects on the Pentagon Reservation and other designated facilities owned and operated by DoD to the NARA.
    • Provide a detailed report identifying all documentation sent to NARA.
  • Quality Control  
    • Perform CAD standards checks to ensure that fonts, dimensions, line styles, levels, and other construction document formatting issues are in compliance with the WHS CAD standards.
    • Oversee compliance and conformance of CAD documents and drawings with EDS with regards to data compliance e.g., nomenclature, layering, symbol libraries and labeling. Contractor has programmatic responsibility for providing and retrieving, tracking and monitoring specifications and drawing changes, sketches and document reproduction services and CAD drawing and SOP development.
    • Review each document or piece of information and use all naming convention types and attributes necessary to identify the document or piece of information and provide the full range search attributing established in the EDMS.

Requirements:

  • Clearance
    • Secret 
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, or related physical or geospatial science such as Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Cartography, Information Technology, Computer Science, Urban Studies/ Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Geography, or Construction related field or a 7 years’ professional experience in Bentley ProjectWise, including Bentley and Autodesk suite of applications. 
  • Skills/Experience:
    • Experience managing large teams (~30) of CAD specialists with varying skill levels. 
    • Experience working with CORs and managing contract scope, deliverables, and relationships.
    • Experience being a records management Subject Matter Expert (SME).
    • Experience with organizing physical and electronic records; this may include, but not limited to indexing, scanning, labeling, barcoding, filing and storage to a common digital archive.
    • Experience developing and implementing cloud-based project data storage strategy.
    • Experience developing workflows and implementing document approval processes.
    • Experience assessing new and advocating current practices, designing software tools, and producing training documentations.
    • Experience in digital review processes using Bluebeam and Adobe Professional.
    • Experience conducting trainings to customers.
    • Using Bentley products, including ProjectWise and/or AutoDESK products in a production environment.
