About This Role:

The Senior Accountant will support the Company’s month-end close process, preparation of financial statements for internal reporting and year end audit purposes, and perform a variety of routine and ad hoc duties in the Accounting Department. Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, research of outstanding general ledger account items and adjustments, and project management of process improvement and automation initiatives. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the Accounting Operations Analyst’s work in the procure to pay operations of the Company, including bill processing, employee reimbursements, and corporate credit card spend.

What You’ll Do 

  • Daily and monthly general accounting functions, including preparing and posting journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and investigating variances
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly balance sheet and P&L statements, including validation of results via detailed flux analysis. Present flux package to team leadership
  • Aid in completion of year-end audit via preparation of audit requests, schedules and other information required to draft the Company’s audited financial statements
  • Manage Accounting Operations Analyst prepared work in the close and procure to pay processes including journal entry review, invoice processing, employee expense reimbursement reports, and Company credit card spend
  • Ensure compliance with Company’s internal control framework including obtaining proper expense approvals, adherence to Company T&E policy, and monthly/quarterly reviews of key close processes
  • Ensure all accounting operations processes and policies are formally documented. Develop and conduct related internal trainings for the team and the organization
  • Collaborate with Assistant Controller on accounting operations system enhancements and automation projects
  • Other general accounting and ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned based on capacity and need

Who You Are 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance (or relevant business field) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in an accounting role in a high growth technology company or in public accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically with general ledger and reporting functions. NetSuite experience a plus
  • CPA or working toward CPA accreditation preferred
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP accounting concepts (revenue recognition, accrual accounting, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management/problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced in Excel
  • Ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously work on multiple projects

The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in our Playa Vista, California location is $104,000 - $120,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc (“Crexi”) is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
