The Role:

As we begin to build out the legal team at Crafty, we are seeking a talented Client Contract Paralegal to manage the contract lifecycle with clients and partners.

Working in our Finance Department, our Client Contract Paralegal will handle day-to-day responsibilities around the production of our client contracts.

  • Manage the full client contract lifecycle including:
    • Draft and revise a variety of contracts and contract amendments with customers and partners
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders to negotiate legal and business terms
    • Coordinate the execution of finalized contracts ready for signature
    • Document critical non-standard business terms for reference by internal stakeholders and secure internal exception approval as required
    • Manage our pre-approved contract negotiation guidelines
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on contract post-signature workflows
    • Handle contract amendment requests and coordination
    • Manage and drive the contract renewal calendar
  • Administer contract management software, such as Ironclad
  • Oversee the system integrations involved in the contract management lifecycle including PandaDoc and Hubspot
  • Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained
  • Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes

This role can be fully remote or in-office in Chicago or New York City.

Who we are looking for:

Your experience:

  • Education:  a degree in business or public administration, finance, economics or other field related to this work
  • Work Experience:  2+ years of paralegal or corporate contract experience, preferably working directly with contract creation or experience in financial analysis, project management, grant administration, inter-agency agreements, contract administration
  • Knowledge:  basic legally-binding contractual language and terminology
