The roles and responsibilities of the Coursera Finance team include accounting, financial reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, and compliance. At Coursera, our Finance team supports our internal partners to maximize shareholder value. We are looking for a talented and innovative finance manager to join our team. You are a result-focused professional with experience managing or administering data and driving revenue and profitability. You have experience working cross-functionally with executive management.
Responsibilities
- Degrees Revenue model ownership: Partner with internal stakeholders to track, analyze, forecast and report on revenue earned from our online degrees. Work closely with key team members to support business transformation and assess new opportunities..
- Content & Credentials budget: Work with department owners across the C&C (Content & Credentials) organization to set the yearly financial plan and manage to budget through the monthly close and forecast process. Understand and track key trends in order to tailor recommendations to assist the Chief Content Officer and business in achieving the team’s long-term goals while staying within budget.
- Content funding process: Responsible for the tracking, forecasting, and assessment of content and associated production costs of new courses funded by Coursera. Oversee end-to-end investment process from sourcing through production to launch. Improve upon existing framework to refine accuracy and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive, relevant experience in FP&A, supporting both revenue and expenses
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or other relevant quantitative field
- Demonstrated background to build strong relationships and establish credibility with diverse audiences and work collaboratively to deliver meaningful analyses and decision support
- Direct experience with GSheet/ Excel, NetSuite, Planning Systems such as IBM TM1/Oracle Essbase, Looker
- Ability to work with large volumes of data, drive insights through analysis, and communicate to business partners
- Experience in Financial modeling, understanding of US GAAP revenue recognition standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced GSheet/Excel skills with the ability to manage detailed financial models and automated reporting
- Experience mobilizing across teams (Marketing, Partner Success, Accounting) to execute on forecast cycles, with process re-engineering and improvement in mind
- Proven experience working with large volumes of data to inform financial models and set OKR targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and communicate with all levels of the company
- Experience with early-stage tech companies, user of IBM Planning Analytics, Looker, Workday, Salesforce.com (a plus)

Compensation
Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. This role's targeted hiring base salary range is between $104,800 to $131,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
