Job Overview

At Coursera, the Industry Partnerships Team has the vision of enabling learners to acquire the high-demand skills they need to perform and acquire the jobs of the future. Through innovative partnerships  with industry leaders (e.g. Google, IBM and Microsoft), we can empower our learners around the world to land their next job or promotion. Over the past 5 years,  Coursera has deepened these partnerships to identify more opportunities to bring their expertise to the platform and close new partnerships to extend to new industry verticals. 

In your role, you will identify and develop relationships with top brands around the globe to form content partnerships with Coursera.  Additionally, you will coordinate with the broader cross functional team (product, marketing, partner success managers) to maximize the reach of the partnership to improve the lives of learners around the world.  


Responsibilities

  • Generate engagement with potential priority Industry Partnerships (IP), fortune 500 companies focused on technology and STEM, based on Coursera’s content strategy 
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and close key licensing deals that will help expand the portfolio of brands represented on the platform for our learners (users)
  • Lead content acquisition efforts by owning and expanding the portfolio of educational learning content those brands have released on the platform 
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the highest quality of educational learning content are created and launched on time, including coordinating with the partner success managers, content strategy, marketing and product 
  • Participate in business planning in collaboration with partners to maximize partnership revenue and user engagement

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience developing partnerships with large fortune 500 companies, structuring partnership agreements and working with cross functional teams to on-board new partners
  • 3+ years of related experience in business development
  • Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding quarterly OKRs

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Content acquisition and partnership experience a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically, to influence across the organization at all levels, and to ensure flawless execution and strong understanding of business partnership development
  • Demonstrated ability to form long-term strategic business relationships through engagement with senior executives as well as technical subject matter experts

Compensation

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. This role's targeted hiring base salary range is between $104,800 and $131,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
