Coursello is a new education company on a mission to make high-quality courses accessible to all students. Founded by a former principal and leaders from LearnZillion, eBay, and Apple, Coursello provides schools and districts with live, discussion-based online courses for high schoolers. The Full Stack Engineer will report to the CTO and collaborate closely with course designers and teachers. They will be one of the first technical hires at our fast-growing startup! We're looking for someone who can wear lots of different hats, and be open to learning new technologies as needs arise. We would like to hire for this position by the beginning of June, 2022.

The Coursello Full Stack Engineer is responsible for

  • Creating web applications to help streamline and scale up online courses, and boost productivity
  • Collaborating with course designers and teachers to find areas that would benefit from software tools
  • Developing and enforcing best practices for privacy and security

Coursello Engineers are particularly good at being flexible, responding to quickly-changing needs with curiosity and passion. They are open to trying new things and believe in experimentation as a key to driving product innovation.

Most of our existing tech uses Python and Go, and we use Amazon AWS for our infrastructure needs. For the full stack engineer role, we're looking for folks who can build web apps in either Python, Go, or Javascript/Typescript (Node.js).
