Role Overview
Coupang's Corp IT team plays a critical role in creating the best IT environment for our employees, and we are looking for an Project Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing IT governance and work processes and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will also manage/analyze/report overall IT gaps & risks and communicate with internal and external teams by providing various information in terms of project management.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Plan and execute technology projects and system implementations effectively
- Establish high level scope, goals and timelines of projects as well as provide and take positive and constructive feedback
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with planning and executing monthly/quarterly check-ins regarding projects and system implementations for each stakeholder
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Function as the single point of IT contact for key elements such as enterprise IT policy governance, IT internal and external audits, and IT risk assessment
- Create and share reports with IT management, identifying IT process bottlenecks and suggesting options and recommendations
- Provide governance, risk, and compliance data insights to drive improvement across the IT system
- Plan the implementation of processes and procedures for the identification and assessment of risk in the organization’s information system
- Develop systems and processes for the management and reporting of risks
- Provide insights and recommendations on risk management to the executive team
- Review current and proposed information systems for compliance with the company’s business strategy
- Develop standard operating procedures for IT systems to ensure compliance with corporate governance
- Facilitate cooperation and communication within the team and between teams
- Effectively manage human and physical resources and make plans to improve efficiency
- Establish ways to improve and automate processes and workflows
- Develop an integrated knowledge base system
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of seven 15 years’ project work experience with 10years’ of proven experience leading complex Engineering and Project Management; projects of comparable scope, scale, and complexity is a requirement
- Experience of PM or PMO participation from large projects at least once
- Executes project work plans while managing changing needs and requirements that occur
- Experience in budgeting considering SoW, schedule, internal/external personnel, Infra (SW/HW) contracts, IT Asset, security etc. during project design
- Have an expertise in business process analysis and solution design
- Prepare project management plans, project business cases, and business requirement documents consistent with the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
- Prior preparation and follow-up response to the requirements of accounting audits, tax audits (National Tax Service, Customs Service) and other external inspection agencies
- Current business processes, new business processes in the system. Analysis of organizational R&R and business impact from a business efficiency perspective in the process of being transferred to the system
- Based on Coupang's understanding of the business model, design and present an effective and efficient next-generation System Architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail, E-Commerce, Telecommunication Platform Business Industry project or operational/maintenance experience
- SOX Compliance Experience
- Time-conscious, focused, organized, results-driven
- Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets
- Have great interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication
- Experience working as a team leader.
- Fluent in English and Korean preferred.
