Job Overview:

As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in forging strategic partnerships that enhance our ad reach capabilities including with Top Apps, Publishers, DSPs, SSPs, Video Partnerships and more in Korean ad ecosystem. Your role will focus on securing ad inventory which aligns with the strategic performance marketing as well as brand marketing objectives of our advertisers on Coupang marketplace.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building and leading sales strategies in the digital advertising space in Korea.
  • Strong network and established relationships with Top Apps, Publishers, DSPs, SSPs, and other key players in the Korean ad ecosystem.
  • Exceptional negotiation and deal-making skills, with a track record of closing high-value partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising supply chain, including programmatic buying, ad serving technologies, and performance analytics from ROI stand-point.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including strategy, product, and analytics, to align sales initiatives with broader company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital advertising sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to achieving sales targets and business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior executives and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess partnership opportunities and monitor performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development

Identify and engage with potential partners to secure high-quality inventory. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the digital advertising ecosystem.

  • Sales Leadership
    Lead the sales strategy for Ad Supply Partnerships, setting targets, and driving the team to achieve and exceed these goals. Foster a high-performance sales culture within the team.
  • Market Analysis and Insights

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform sales strategies and identify new partnership opportunities.

  • Collaboration and Integration

Work closely with the of Ad Supply Partnership and Strategy and other team members to ensure sales initiatives align with the broader strategic objectives. Facilitate seamless integration of new partnerships into our advertising operations.

  • Performance Monitoring

Develop KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of partnerships and sales strategies. Continuously optimize efforts based on performance data and market feedback.
