About the Team

Coupang Media Group (CMG) is the ads division of Coupang. Our mission is to provide the best advertising solutions in the world for our clients. This role is for a Ads Video Sales Specialist Director in our VPS (Video Product Specialist) team. You will be responsible for defining and setting the sales goals and achieving revenue targets in your product areas.  Video Ads covers our onsite display advertising including premium sponsorship, traditional guaranteed delivery, as well as auction-based display, together with future developing video-related products and extension of our product offering. The VPS is a rapidly evolving team, focused on creating upper funnel solutions for our clients. 

Role Overview   

  • Ability to work with a highly skilled sales team. Influence behavior and coach capacities.
  • Work in a cross-functional space, and able to establish strong internal partnership relations. Collaborate with stakeholders across Coupang (Agencies, Product and Engineering, Design, Operations, Retail, and more) to ensure its successful performance and development.
  • Work closely with the product team to help define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and KPIs for a scalable Video Commerce product.
  • Analytical skills to operate autonomously in SalesForce or Tableau like dashboards, to inspect the business.
  • Stablish and manage C level relationships with our main clients.
  • Capacity to influence media spending, while understanding our customers’ needs and expectations are when investing with our video solutions.
  • Continually Identify opportunities to improve the experience of our clients. Ability to identify gaps or problems, to act quickly, setting up the proper correction mechanisms.

Key Experience

  • Knowledge of and relationships within the industry across publishers, clients and agencies.
  • Strong business leader with a deep understanding of the Advertising Landscape.
  • Successful track record (5+ years) of selling innovative new products, and taking them to market, for a tier 1 technology player.
  • Hands on experience working in an agile environment with a rapid iteration cadence.
  • Track record of using data and quantitative research methodologies to inform decision making across the entire sales lifecycle.
  • Understanding of the complexities of a marketplace/consumer platform model.

Traits and Competencies

  • Experience in Media Buying or Selling (Connected TV, TV, Video Strategies)
  • Able to operate autonomously to manage projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements.
  • Able to take ambiguous and challenging problems and turn them into scoped projects and features.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Advertising domain expertise.
  • Experience working with remote development teams.
