The Infrastructure Cloud Architect/System Engineering role is a vital part of the IT function. Responsible for designing, implementing and controlling the Cloud Infrastructure and ensure IT Infrastructure smooth operations and supports through Architect related project activities. Introduce and improve system engineering by adopting new technologies. Capable of performing Wintel, Linux, Cloud (AWS) troubleshooting and design changes.
What You Will Do
- Provides technical expertise and takes responsibility to enable the design, planning, implementation, integration, configuration and production support of infrastructure services across the IT workspace/customer communication and collaboration toolset.
- Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product/problem requirements into total infrastructure solutions that acknowledge technical constraints
- Manage multiple projects at a local level. Manage large programs that involve stakeholders beyond your team from inception to delivery. You leverage all tools & techniques (Gantt Chart, Inceptions, etc.) at your disposal to ensure the program's success and drive all stakeholders.
- Analyzes effectiveness/efficiency of infrastructure and develops/recommends improvements.
- Investigates problems in infrastructure and services and assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures with scalability.
- Perform Infrastructure (DC) reviews and prepare findings documents outlining short and long-term technology solutions under consideration of global standards.
- Maintains and documents system information in line with compliance requirements, recommend and develop quality assurance and standards
- Uses innovative approaches to solve complex problems
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Experience in implementing Infra Cloud Designs and retrofit of existing data center infrastructures
- Microsoft Windows and Linux Server operational experience and datacenters, Migrations, upgrades, configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and Windows OS (Recent Versions) 5+ years of experience
- Experience in maintaining applications/systems in clustered environments
- Proficient with PowerShell Scripting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in VMWare vSphere / NSX / vSAN / DC Virtualization Technologies (vSphere; vCentre; ESXi etc.) and knowledge of VDI, MS AppV, ThinApp, Citrix, and other application virtualization technologies
- Multisite OS / SAN / NAS storage management and administration
- Understanding of networking protocols, setup and troubleshooting to include Cisco routing and switching devices, Cisco Firewalls, and switching technology
- Intel compute platforms
- ITIL / MCSE certification
- Cloud Solution Architect certifications (AWS and Azure)
