Position: Senior Director, Retail Taiwan
Role Overview
As the Senior Director of Retail in Taiwan, you will play a pivotal part in Coupang’s Retail business. You are expected to manage a complex and fast paced organization while working with various stake holders across multiple domains to establish short-term and long-term plans. Champions category needs to scale/grow broadly across the company; work effectively across organizations to influence the roadmaps of interdependent teams to delivery against category goals.
What You Will Do
- P&L management and develops plans that drive revenue and financial improvements for the business.
- Managing key vendors relationships and negotiation
- Influence teams across hierarchies to deliver results. Ability to lead communication with leadership regarding category and vendor strategy based on company goals related to and not limited to selection, profitability, etc.
- Think outside the box, wear multiple hats, and is excited by deciphering multiple urgent needs to deliver meaningful results whilst moving quickly.
- Managing a large number of employee and a large-scale organization with multiple teams, including hiring and development.
- Sets and communicates vision, inspires, and aligns organization to business and customer strategy.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Retail or related field; experience with solving and finds measures to improve the overall performance of the company or the functional org.
- Experience leading a way/degree of strategical development of the business.
- Cultivates and maintains a culture of innovation, whilst having the ability to identify and simplify complexity that blocks innovation.
- Instilling a strong compliance culture whilst establishing a process to reduce risks. (Sets rules, a reporting and aligning process, etc.)
