Team Description :

CRM team creates actional and strategic plans to drive business results and make an impact in driving and amazing customer experience by being relevant to millions of customers and helping them to discover products they need on Coupang. The team is responsible for managing marketing campaign performance, optimizing current campaigns as well as conceptualizing and implementing new campaigns in conjunctions with Coupang leadership and business teams. Major role of CRM team is to analyze, leverage, and segment customer data and insights and translate them into targeted activities to drive acquisition, retention and incremental sales to Coupang.

With these in mind, the Principal Biz Marketing at CRM will be responsible for creating marketing plans for campaign activities including exhibition page planning, selecting product, and recommending campaigns themes to attract customers to convert. Campaign themes, exhibition page layouts, selections to showcase to customers, and customer flow to drive conversions are the actual and final output for this team. The team puts tremendous effort on measuring and analyzing the success (and failure) of each step of the campaigns.

The position requires an ability to iterate continuously and intelligently with an open mind on feedback and criticism from various stakeholder. This would be a great opportunity to learn how to build relationships and interactions with the customers based on immediate, and straightforward responses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the strategic development of customer centric events, exhibition planning, creative development, and production of CRM campaigns.
  • Understand online consumer behavior and how to craft layouts and customer flows that are intuitive and drives product exploration and product conversion.
  • Drives the customer experience of customers to increase engagement and conversion of events.
  • Provide brief for customer driven promotional contents (event themes, banners designs, landing pages, etc.) to designers and event creators.
  • Develops new content and delivery of relevant communications, to maximize effectiveness and engagement.
  • Identifies opportunities to enrich the experiences of the customer to generate conversion and loyalty.
  • Contribute strategic thinking to our engagement and conversion strategies.


Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or higher degree in related area
  • At least 7-18 years relevant experience in a cross functional role 
  • Work well independently and be at the same time a good collaborative team player.
  • Experience in understanding customer needs and create events and content that drive high customer experience.
  • Track record in working in an environment with fast turnaround
  • Strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative
  • Motivated to continuously improve guides and standards

  • Must be comfortable in an ambiguous environment where change is the norm, able to prioritize and adapt
  • Great attention to detail
  • Resourceful with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and a versatile self-starter who excels in a team environment.
