Regional Security Manager


Security and Privacy is seeking a motivated Physical Security Regional Security Manager. The position will provide physical security expertise, project management and support for a variety of regional Fulfillment Centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and auditing the daily security operations of the responsible Fulfillment Centers. You will directly report to the Head of Physical Security Fulfillment Centers, as well as communicate with the Head and Deputy Head for Physical Security. The candidate will report on progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as, escalate these issues when needed.




  • Ensures the Fulfillment Center Site Leaders (FC Security Liaison/Coordinator) compliance of all security programs, procedures, and policies, as well as audits and inspections.
  • Ensures proper oversight of the guard force operations.
  • Escalates all site level issues to the Head of Physical Security - Fulfillment Centers.
  • Conducts annual/site level risk assessments for all sites.
  • Produces a monthly Site Security Status Report.
  • Ensures that all security incidents are reported on a weekly basis or as needed based on severity of the incident.
  • Conducts security drills and exercises quarterly or as determined.
  • Conducts daily inspections of the guard force operations, visitor logs, Master Key Program, access control systems and video monitoring system.
  • Conducts quarterly inspections of the facility security program
  • Initiates and acts as the command and control for all security during a contingency based on established and documented guidance from Coupang Physical Security
  • Ensures the Emergency Action Plans (Unauthorized Person, Theft, Workplace Violence, etc.)  for the Facility are consistent with the current operating environment and reviewed annually.
  • Responsible for regular review and analysis of shipping and receiving documents, audits, records of delivery, security maintenance reports, and other special administration reports to identify actual or potential occurrences of shrinkage.
  • Ensures that all security incidents are reported on a weekly basis or as needed based on severity of the incident.
  • Conducts audits of the security controls in place for high value high risk assets and the transportation of those assets.




  • College degree in a field related to security risk management,/work experience can be supplemented for a degree.
  • Security management training
  • Must be fluent in Korean, oral and written
  • At least 10 years’ experience in managing security management systems with 5 years supervising personnel in managing security management systems.
  • Experience developing and facilitating training in security topics.
  • A strong understanding of the security sector, trends, challenges, and legal frameworks
  • Must possess the ability to deal with sensitive issues with discretion, to respond positively to challenges, and to find creative and innovative solutions to problems
  • Should have exceptional report-writing skills (Korean and/or English)
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, analysis, and strategic planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage under stressful condition
  • Experience dealing with crisis management
  • Experience conducting physical security assessments

A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit the request to the Company by fax (02-6150-9007) or email ( In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.

4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
