Location: Israel (to support TIMEA region) - this role is office-based 3 days/week in Tel Aviv.
Couchbase is looking for a talented and passionate senior-level Developer Relations (DevRel) Engineer to join the Developer Relations (DevRel) team in the TIMEA Region (Turkey, Israel, Middle East, and Africa). As a Developer Evangelist, you will play a crucial role in promoting Couchbase’s cutting-edge technologies, building strong relationships with developers and technical communities, and driving the adoption of our platform.
- Developer Advocacy: Serve as the primary technical evangelist for Couchbase in the TIMEA Region, promoting our products and solutions to developers, software engineers, and technical decision-makers.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with developer communities, both online and offline, by organizing and participating in meetups, hackathons, conferences, and other events. Establish a strong presence and foster relationships with influencers, user groups, and relevant organizations.
- Technical Content Creation: Create compelling technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, code samples, and videos, to educate developers and showcase the capabilities and benefits of Couchbase’s products and solutions.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations at conferences, meetups, and customer events. Articulate Couchbase’s value proposition, technical features, and use cases to a diverse range of technical audiences.
- Developer Support: Provide technical guidance and support to developers, answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting with troubleshooting. Act as a bridge between developers and Couchbase’s engineering and product teams.
- Feedback and Insights: Gather feedback from developers, users, and the community to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities. Share insights internally to influence product development and roadmap decisions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the regional sales team, product management, and engineering teams to align developer initiatives with overall business goals and objectives.
- Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Share relevant insights and knowledge with internal stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Hebrew with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in software development, database technologies, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with NoSQL databases and related technologies is a plus.
- Developer Community Experience: Previous experience engaging with developer communities, organizing events, and building relationships with developers and technical influencers.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver impactful technical presentations and demonstrations to large and diverse audiences.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for Technology: Genuine passion for technology and a deep interest in staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the TIMEA Region for events and customer visits as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
