The candidate is responsible for managing and growing the impact of COTA’s Life Science partnerships. The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop and execute a strategic approach to expand COTA’s impact with existing and new life science partnerships – increasing COTA awareness, engagement to COTA solutions, and new business opportunities for COTA. This position requires a deep understanding of how to position COTA’s Real World Data to potential customers, client management skills, and an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment. This individual’s business development responsibilities will be expected to increase with additional experience at COTA.



  • Generate new business through consultative selling, from qualifying solutions for prospective customers to scoping and pricing proposals to negotiating and closing deals
  • Advocate and be the voice of the client with internal stakeholders (medical, statistics, product, operations)
  • Increase COTA awareness at client partnerships through targeting key stakeholders that could benefit from COTA solutions and facilitating workshops
  • Establish/maintain client relationships, understanding key client value drivers and areas that COTA’s solution could be improved
  • Be involved as needed in key project workshops and milestones to ensure client satisfaction, build the client relationship, and prospect for new and expanded business opportunities



  • Degree from a top academic institution with a major in the sciences or related field
  • 5-8 years of healthcare strategy consulting, with significant experience working with life sciences
  • Experience in preparing and proofing documents for executive-level audience
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationship with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions oriented goals
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proactive mindset and approach: able to think several steps ahead to client conversions, anticipate teammates’ needs, and suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent “can do” attitude



  • MBA from a top academic institution
  • Experience in oncology
  • Experience in business development selling RWD, or into clinical development
