The Job   

TheHardware Repair Trainer is responsible for architectural specifications and model statements for hardware systems to support business operations and requirements. The Hardware Repair Trainer will analyze new model types, modify existing logic, and improve circuit infrastructures. This role will run multiple quality checks with the output, ensuring that it adheres to regulations and guidelines. The Hardware Repair Trainer will also be responsible for creating standard operating procedures and ensuring hardware technicians are up to date with current model types.  

 

Responsibilities  

  • Create standard operating procedures. 
  • Troubleshoot and develop methods to repair new models. 
  • Train and perform quality checks on the Hardware Technicians.  
  • Service, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment. 
  • Conduct tests on digital and analog circuits. 
  • Conduct maintenance of data center equipment. 
  • Work with a corporate ticketing system. 
  • Ensure the repair center is clean and up to standard. 
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications  

  • High school diploma/GED required. 
  • 1 year experience repairing hash boards required. 
  • 1 year of training experience required. 
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing platforms required. 
  • Experience with Micro soldering and using a heat gun required. 
  • Valid drivers license required. 
  • Associate’s degree in computer science preferred. 
  • Experience as Electrical Journeyman preferred. 
  • Experience in IT/PC level help desk preferred. 

 

Travel  

Frequent and regular travel between the data centers. 

 

Work Environment  

This job operates in a data center environment. This role routinely uses standard data center equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, voltmeter’s, hash board testers, soldering iron, heat guns, screwdrivers etc. 

 

Physical Demands   

Able to meet physical requirements of the job, such as working on ladders, racking heavy servers (up to 50 lbs.), running cables, lifting miners, bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time, working in hot and cold environments etc.   

 

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work   

This is a full-time position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
