The Job

We are looking for a VP of Construction Projects that is excited about working at the forefront of cutting-edge technology as we continue to secure the Bitcoin blockchain and expand into AI & HPC Technology. As the VP of Construction Projects, you will oversee all aspects of the building process, working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors and suppliers to develop plans, establish timetables and utilize your creativity to solve challenges.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the Construction Project Management Team
  • Innovate and value engineer all aspects of all projects.
  • Creatively define each project’s scope and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with our vendor partners.
  • Coordinate internal resources and contractors and suppliers for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Learn and utilize the appropriate levels of expertise in all software platforms used to execute the function of the position.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management required.
  • 10 years of related experience required.
  • Proven professional experience in construction project management, design, project planning, and construction focusing on data centers, specifically high-performance computing, and AI.
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in the digital infrastructure / data center industry required.
  • Experience with standby generators, uninterruptible power supplies, battery line ups and control systems required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership required.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
