
Junior Associate, Contracts and Program Control
The Associate, Contracts and Program Control will assist in the management of contracts, financial analysis, and security compliance for programs. This entry-level role provides valuable support to senior staff, while helping develop the skills and knowledge necessary to progress into a more advanced position. The individual will gain experience in contract management, financial tracking, and security protocols related to contract execution, all under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Requirements:
- Contract Support:
- Maintain contract files and track contract milestones, amendments, and deadlines.
- Develop and provide to management for review program deliverables as required by contracts.
- Set up and regularly update contract data in company systems, including Deltek Costpoint.
- Ensure adequate funding availability and submit timely requests for additional funding, when necessary.
- Program Financial Support:
- Maintain records of financial data and assist with cost analysis for program management teams, including contractual burn rates.
- Review and monitor invoices for alignment to contractual terms and conditions.
- Assist with audit requests.
- Security Compliance Support:
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining security compliance documentation related to contracts, ensuring that sensitive information is protected according to applicable security standards (e.g., CUI, NIST 800-171).
- Help coordinate with internal security teams to ensure contract deliverables meet security requirements.
- Support the preparation and implementation of security measures for contract-related information.
- Collaboration and Learning:
- Work closely with management to understand the full scope of contracts and related program activities.
- Learn to identify potential risks in contracts and financial data, and support the development of mitigation strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about contract management, financial planning, and security compliance.
- Take on progressively more responsibility in managing tasks as skills and knowledge grow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field (or expected to complete within the next 6 months); or commensurate experience.
- Basic understanding of business or contract terminology, financial tracking, or security protocols (preferred)
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance or higher.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with a very strong aptitude in Microsoft Excel.
